Pursue & Restore

Equip Hope to Pursue those outside the faith and to Restore the Broken by meeting real needs. 

Ways you can INVEST:

  • Read the book, God Space by Doug Pollock and attend his next seminar
  • Begin praying for your "outside the faith" neighbor or co-worker
  • Volunteer at the next City of Mason event 
  • Volunteer at Hope House, City Gospel Mission, or Streams of Hope
  • Begin praying for a Hope global ministry partner
 

Kids' Ministry

We have a place for you to use your gifts! Kids' Ministry has a variety of volunteer opportunities, both on Sunday mornings and during the week. Yes, we need teachers/shepherds but we also need people who like to cook, play games,work with technology, and provide administrative support. If you are interested in hearing more about any of the opportunities below, contact our staff at 459-0800 ext. 360 or kids@hopemason.org.

Welcome Center--Greeters who are friendly, warm, and wish to assist those visiting Hope Church.

Shepherds/Teachers--Adults and High School aged people who are relational and enjoy working with children.  People with the gift of teaching are needed both on Sunday mornings and in our weekday ministries.  Shepherds focus on building relationships with kids and their families.  Middle School aged youth are encouraged to assist in Kids' Ministry classes.

Special Needs--Adults and High School aged who have a heart to serve children, youth and young adults with special needs. 

Administrative--Those who enjoy working behind the scenes in a support role.

Technical Support--Adults and High Schoolers who enjoy working with PowerPoint, video production equipment, sound and lighting as well as photographers.

Missions Outreach--Those who have a heart for missions outreach and would like to help with special outreach events.

Resource Team--People who gather supplies, organize supplies and ministry areas, clean toys, etc.

If you love kids and are passionate about sharing the amazing love of God with them, we welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

 

Student Ministries

Serves students (grades 6-12) and families by developing relationships that encourage students to MULTIPLY.  

Ways you can INVEST:

  • Junior High FUEL Leader - Develop relationships with students during Sunday programming. 
  • Relational Volunteer Leader - Encourage, listen, and help students navigate life and faith. 
  • Events - Help with the multiple things needed to make the events happen.
  • Builder - People are needed to help design and do light construction in the student room.
  • Prayer Team - We'd like someone to lead a team of people in consistent prayer for students. 
 

Campus Community Leadership Team

Help people connect in our Sunday AM mid-sized adult communities, grow in Christ, and become multiplying disciples. 

Ways you Can INVEST:

  • Call to invite Hope visitors to visit the community 
  • Serve as a greeter
  • Call people who have missed
  • Plan a social event for the community
  • Serve on the leadership team
 

Ministry to Men

Help men get connected, equipped, and become multiplying disciples of Jesus.

Ways you can INVEST:

  • Plan a one-time men's social event
  • Help lead a Men's 6-week study
  • Volunteer once a month for the Coffee Ministry
  • Serve on the Men's Leadership Team
  • Volunteer for a service project 
 

Ministry to Women

Help women get connected, equipped, and become multiplying disciples of Jesus.

Ways you can INVEST:

  • Provide childcare for moms attending MOPS. Can be once or multiple times from September to May.
  • Assist with hospitality, follow up, and care of women in bible studies. 
  • Lead a 6/8 week Bible Study. 
  • Connect women with local and global mission's opportunities. 
  • Serve on Women's Leadership team. 
 

Special Needs Ministry

Come alongside families with children with special needs and people with a variety of disabilities.  

Ways you can INVEST:

  • Serve as a buddy with a child/student with special needs on Sunday Morning.
  • Be a part of a team that prepares and serves a meal at our Capernaum Group.
  • Serve with the TOP Soccer program.
  • Serve on a team that seeks to find ways to encourage and support families with children with special needs. 
 

Spiritual Direction

Focuses on increasing our capacity to live on mission in our relationships. 

Ways you can INVEST:

  • Pray for/with a Hope Renewed ministry team on Sunday morning.
  • Receive coaching on how to initiate a conversation with a person you do not know. 
  • Meet, greet, and assist participants entering a Listening or Transform class.
  • Assist with a hospitality task at a family reception following a memorial service.
  • After attending Listening for Heaven's Sake, consider becoming a facilitator of that course. 
 

Worship

Seeks to use the arts effectively to communicate the gospel of Jesus and to lead people into His presence.

Ways you can INVEST:

  • Praise band/instrumentalist
  • Gathering Worship Team/Choir
  • Communion Teams
  • Seasonal Choir (Christmas/Easter) 
  • Tech  Team - Sound mixing (live/recording), Projectionist, Light Board, Camera Operator, Video Editing, State Managing 
 

Assimilation

Ways you can INVEST:

  • Serve as a Sunday morning Greeter
  • Serve as a Sunday morning Bulletin Distributor 
  • Serve Sunday morning at the Welcome Desk
  • Be a part of following up a Connection Card
  • Serve at First Step
 

Ministry Support

Assist our facilities and office staff with their often unseen, but very necessary responsibilities. 

Ways you can INVEST:

  • Kitchen coordinator (two hours/month)
  • Help mowing the church grounds (1 hour every two weeks), weed whacking (once every two weeks), and snow removal near entry ways. 
  • Help with maintenance such as painting, security, or collection of trash on church grounds. 
  • Answer phones at the reception desk during business hours (one hour a month).
  • Help in the office with special projects.
 

Generous Living

Encourage and equip one another to live a generous life.

Ways you can INVEST:

  • Serve as a Financial Coach
  • Serve as a Financial Peace Coordinator
  • Teach others as they learn what God has to say about handling His money.
  • Serve as a coach to parents as they disciple their children in good biblical stewardship.
  • Serve in various roles in bringing biblical principles of managing to the marketplace.
