ROOTED IN LISTENING (Formerly Listening For Heaven's Sake)

Perhaps the most fundamental way that we communicate love to another person is by listening attentively to them, caring enough to really hear what they have to say.  Social research has found that listening with empathy “heals people’s shame”. We are told in James 1:19 to be "quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry." While most of us in our culture are not very good listeners, we can learn!

The skills you gain will strengthen your relationships with family members, coworkers, and neighbors. Join many of your friends at Hope who have taken Rooted in Listening (formerly known as Listening for Heaven’s Sake), believing John who wrote,”if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.”

Our next session will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. For this session we will be meeting off campus in the McKinley Clubhouse at the Twin Lakes Senior Center in Montgomery. A light breakfast, beverages, and box lunch will be provided. Cost is $20.
