Hope’s Vision and Mission

For the glory of God and the lasting joy of all people,

by the power of the Holy Spirit,

we will help one another

                                         discover grace, grow together,

and make disciples of Jesus who will multiply.

For the GLORY of God

All things were made to display the greatness of God…especially us! With our words and our lives we seek to make much of the One who made us, who loves us and gave Himself for us. [Isaiah 43:6-7; 1 Corinthians 10:31; Philippians 1:20-21; Colossians 1:15-20]

and the lasting JOY of all people,

The glory of God and the joy of people are not different goals! There is simply no greater joy, when, by God’s grace, people experience God’s love and respond with an answering affection. God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him. [Psalm 16:11; John 3:16; John 10:10]

by the POWER of the Holy Spirit,

While we have a role to play in honoring God as we pursue all people with Gospel grace, ultimately our efforts to be faithful and fruitful depend upon the strength and wisdom available to us daily through the indwelling Holy Spirit. [John 16:4-15; Galatians 5:16-26; Ephesians 3:20-21]

we will HELP one another

We were never intended to walk the journey of the Christian life alone.  God has given us to each other for encouragement and equipping so that we can fulfill our God-given purpose and live on mission. [Ecclesiastes 4:10-12; Hebrews 3:13; Galatians 6:1]

The starting point of our eternal life with God as well as the start of every day is discovering and receiving with great gratitude the undeserved gift of God’s grace—His forgiveness through the Cross and His assistance through the Spirit. [Romans 5:1-2; 2 Timothy 2:1]

GROW together,

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have been an eternal community and they welcome us into their fellowship; calling us to model our love for one another after theirs. The Christian life is all about growing relationships—wholehearted devotion to God, sacrificial love for one another. We’re free to be real, to confess sin, to extend grace, and experience transformation. [Matthew 22:34-40]

and MAKE DISCIPLES of Jesus who will MULTIPLY.

As you receive God’s grace and grow to love Him and His people, God gives you His heart for His world. Grace is something we are to joyfully share with those with whom we live, work, and play; helping future disciples receive grace and helping current disciples catch this vision of Multiply. [Matthew 5:13-16; 28:16:20, Colossians 4:5-6]
