Thanksgiving Exchange with City Gospel Mission

Posted on: November 13, 2016

Hope Ministry Partner, City Gospel Mission, has opened the Thanksgiving Exchange for the past few years to allow participants with very low incomes to pay $10 to shop for their Thanksgiving groceries. This allows them the dignity and joy of selecting the items they want to celebrate Thanksgiving with their families without destroying their extremely tight budgets. The Exchange depends on the generous donations of food from businesses, churches, groups, and individuals, as well as hundreds of volunteers to help make the exchange become a "grocery store." The store is not open to the public - all shoppers are pre-registered through their church ahead of time.

We’re happy to report that our congregation cheerfully donated 800 food items this week toward this effort to assist those who Restore the Broken.

If you are interested in volunteering at the Thanksgiving Exchange between November 14-22, 2016, there is still time to sign up for a shift at www.CityGospelMission.org
