Who's At the Door? Our Greeting Ministry

Each Sunday, several friendly faces greet each person who steps through Hope's doors, whether it's for the first time or the 400th. Hear how Judy, Tom, and Debbie became involved in greeting ministry and how God's been at work.

Greeting ministry is a special and unique way to bless people's lives! It has been a great way for me to get to know people and shine God's love. I've been amazed by how people come to know and care about me, just as I care about them. I am so thankful for what God has done in my life.

At first, Hope was rather intimidating just based on the size of the church. However, thanks to Webster [Gordon] and his kind spirit, we felt welcomed. As a result, we continued our Hope journey by serving as greeters. We're now known as part of the 9:00am greeting team!
Recently, while I was greeting on Sunday, I noticed some new people I hadn't seen before. I left my greeting station to introduce myself and welcome them to Hope. I later found out they were so pleased that I had sought them out just to say hello. That's a small part of why we love Hope and are thrilled to be members. Hope is our forever home.

When we first began attending Hope, it was Webster and Judy who greeted Tom and me almost every Sunday before the first Gathering service. They were so welcoming and became the first of many friendly encounters at Hope. Once we became regular attendees, we wanted to be that initial welcoming face to others coming to Hope.
God has definitely been at work in our lives since we started attending and ultimately joined Hope as members. Our brief interactions as greeters have developed into new friendships within the body of Christ, and now we are learning and growing in our walk with God together.
