Missions & Outreach

Why Missions?

At Hope Church, we have a heart for reaching those outside of our church walls and we want to be a part of the work God is doing around the world. We are encouraged to move beyond the walls of Hope to go and engage others where we work, live, and play.

Care for Your Neighbors

This holiday season, let’s share the love of Jesus by serving others in simple, meaningful ways. Every act of kindness—big or small—can shine the light of Christ in our community.

“Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 (ESV)

Assist with chores: Help someone with seasonal tasks like shoveling snow, scraping ice off their car, or hanging decorations.

• Run errands: Offer to pick up groceries, drop off mail or packages, or check in with a neighbor when you’re out grocery shopping.

• Share your skills: Use your talents - help with DIY projects, car maintenance, gift wrapping, or even babysitting.

• Bake and share: Deliver homemade cookies, breads, or treats to brighten someone’s day.

• Invite someone over: Host a simple get together - hot chocolate bar, dessert night, cookie exchange, or potluck, and welcome neighbors to join.

• Share a meal: Bring dinner to someone who is homebound, recovering, or simply in need of encouragement - or invite them to dinner.

• Pray: Before you act, pray for your neighbors, asking God for guidance and opportunities to show His love.

• Reach Out: Say hello, start a conversation, and let neighbors know you care.

• Send a card: Deliver a handwritten note or Christmas card to spread warmth and joy.

• Invite: Ask someone you know to join you for our Hope of Christmas program!

• Volunteer your time: Help at a food drive, visit a local senior living facility, wrap gifts for families in need, or serve wherever you can bring joy.

• Host an event: Organize a neighborhood cookie exchange, a caroling night, or a family-friendly movie night.

• Share appreciation: When you’re out looking at Christmas lights, leave an anonymous little note of gratitude - “Merry Christmas! Thank you for sharing your beautiful light display—it really brightens our nights!”
