Listening Class Alums Support New Class of Learners
25 people attended the six-week Listening Through Family Conflict class that concluded in May. This new class focused on strained or broken relationships between parents and adult children, teaching listening skills to help heal intergenerational conflict and restore family relationships. Several participants who previously attended one of Hope's Graceful Listening classes offered to facilitate table discussions, sharing their own struggles with family conflict.
The table leaders did a wonderful job! Several first-time attendees commented on how helpful the class has been, largely because of the opportunity to share and relate to one another. We’ve seen wonderful answers to prayer, and a few attendees related how this class has facilitated a turning point in their estranged relationships. Praise God!
ReFireMent Group Inspires New Priorities

Ministry to Men recently launched ReFireMent, a group meeting monthly to discover how retirement can be God-honoring, purpose-filled, restful, and truly biblical.
Jan Terbrueggen (pictured above) participated in the first ReFireMent group. Applying what he learned through the reading and discussion, Jan committed to devoting more time to building into the lives of his grandkids. Way to go Jan! Thank you for your example in living out The LIFE.
