Sign-ups for in-person and From Home Love Mason Plus serving options open on March 1. 

There are more than 50 serving options available for the week of Sunday, April 26 to Saturday, May 2. Choose from Sunday afternoon, weekday options, or options on Saturday morning and afternoon. There are both in-person and From Home options.

Please view From Home Options below and click the link to register between March 1 and April 26. (While In-Person serving option registrations close on March 15, From Home options will remain open through Love Mason Plus as space is available.)

Organization: City Gospel Mission

Build a backpack (choose Male or Female) and add the items to provide for basic and immediate needs of area homeless and shelter residents. A list will be provided at the beginning of April of the items to include. A generous donor has provided the backpacks. You fill them. Approximate cost is estimated to be $40-50 per bag. Pick up backpacks at the Love Mason Plus table by the Ministry Partner corner on Sunday, April 12, 19, or 26. 

If you are not available on one of those Sundays, email Laura at ldavies@hopemason.org and your bags can be placed at the Receptionist desk for you to pick up during the week at normal business hours.
Return completed bags to Hope by Sunday, May 3 and we'll deliver them to City Gospel Mission.

Organization: Hope's Closet

Hope's Closet wants all children to feel celebrated - especially on their birthday! Many children in foster care have never had a birthday party - and many have never had a birthday cake. Hope's Closet provides each child using their services with a brand new gift, and offers a "Birthday Party in a Bag" with the supplies needed to celebrate a birthday in style!

This serving option involves purchasing the items to make a "Birthday Party in a bag" with supplies including: Cake Mix, Frosting, a bag of balloons, a package of candles, a roll or two of streamers, a pack of party napkins, and a pack of party plates. All of the items should be placed inside an 8x10 or 10x14 birthday bag.

You are encouraged to choose a coordinated birthday theme for your bag decor items that a child or teen might enjoy (ex. Disney, Hello Kitty, Princess, Sports, Superheroes, Gaming, Floral, Dinosaur, etc.). Generic Happy Birthday themed bags are also welcome! 

Return your "Birthday in a Bag" by Sunday, May 3 and we'll deliver them to Hope's Closet.

Designed to provide encouragement for foster parents, remind them they are not alone, and fill them up so they can pour love into the new child/children they welcome into their home.
Items to include in our bag for a Foster Parent: 

  • A card or note of encouragement
  • A trial size package of tissues
  • Small hand lotion
  • Journal and pen
  • Bottle of water
  • Candy bar
  • Optional - gift card for pizza or fast-food restaurant 

Based on the suggested products, we estimate the cost per bag to be approximately $20.

When you register, you will share how many bags you plan to complete. We provide the bag - you fill them. Bags will be available for pickup on Sunday, April 12, 19, or 26 at church between 9:00am-12:30pm - look for the Love Mason Plus table by the Ministry Partner corner.

Return your filled bags by Sunday, May 3 and we'll deliver them to Hope's Clsoet.

Organization: Area First Responders

Gratitude Bags are our "THANK YOU" to first responders and their support staff. Each gratitude bag has pre-packaged snacks and drinks along with a handwritten gratitude notecard.

This serving option involves writing handwritten gratitude notecards to a first responder. When you register, you will indicate how many gratitude notecards you will complete (in sets of 5) using your own notecards. On the outside of the envelope, instead of someone's name, write "THANK YOU!" Need ideas of what to say?- We'll supply a sheet via email at the end of March with some sample phrases that you could include in your note.

**Please note** - All gratitude notecards need to be returned no later than Sunday, April 19 to be included with Large Group Gratitude Bag Assembly. Bring completed cards to the Love Mason Plus table near the Ministry Partner corner in the Commons. We will need a total of 225 gratitude notecards. Any amount you can complete  that we can use with our Gratitude Bags will be a blessing!

Assemble a blessing bag for senior living residents based on a provided list. We provide the bag and we'd love your help to fill it! 

Items to include in bag: 

  • Trial size hand lotion
  • Chapstick
  • Travel size pack of tissues
  • A 5x7 size journal
  • Crayola Twistable Crayons OR thin colored markers
  • A small stuffed animal (Beanie baby size)
  • A small snack (salty or sweet) - something safe for a senior person to eat!
  • A handwritten card of encouragement
  • **Hope will add 5x7 adult coloring sheets before delivery**

Based on the suggested products, we estimate the cost per bag to be approximately $20 depending on the store you shop. (The Dollar Tree has many of these items.) 

When you register, you will share how many bags you plan to complete. 

Bags will be available for pickup on Sunday, April 12, 19, or 26 between 9:00am-12:30pm - look for the Love Mason Plus table by the Ministry Partner corner. A reminder of the above shopping list will be shared at the beginning of April. Return completed bags to Hope by Sunday, May 3 and we’ll deliver them to the facility.

Hope’s Closet provides toiletry bags for children in foster care. Many children arrive at their foster homes with only the clothes on their backs. Toiletry bags provide them with their own products to ensure they have what they need. Items will fit into a one gallon resealable bag. 

This serving option includes purchasing the items to make a one gallon ziploc Toiletry Bag with the following supplies for a young boy or girl, or older boy or girl: 

  • All-In-One Shampoo (kid or adult)
  • Full Size Toothpaste (kid or adult)
  • Toothbrush (child or adult size)
  • Hairbrush or Comb (child or adult)
  • Package of Hair Ties
  • Tube of Lip Balm
  • Full Size Bar of Soap
  • Stick Deodorant (for older boy or girl)
  • Razor (for older boy or girl)

Based on the suggested products, we estimate the cost per gallon bag to be approximately $20.

When you register, you will share how many bags you plan to complete. We provide the bag - you fill them. Bags will be available for pickup on Sunday, April 12, 19, or 26 at church between 9:00am-12:30pm - look for the Love Mason Plus table by the Ministry Partner corner.

Return your filled Toiletry Bags by Sunday, May 3 and we'll deliver them to Hope's Clsoet.

By decorating welcome sign pages and adding special colors and details, you are not only providing a warm welcome to Cincinnati for critically ill children and their families, but you are reminding them that people they haven’t met care about them.

Pick up Welcome Sign sheets on Sunday, April 12, 19, or 26 between 9:00am-12:30pm – look for the Love Mason Plus table by the Ministry Partner corner. If you are not available on those Sundays, email Laura at ldavies@hopemason.org and you can pick up Welcome Sign printouts at the Receptionist desk during the week at normal business hours. (If you choose to print on your own cardstock, see the notes in your confirmation email.)

Guidelines:
  • You can use crayons, markers, colored pencils or even paint to decorate the signs!
  • Please add your first name ONLY under “From your friend.” You may add your school name or organization as well, but please no last names or messages.
  • You may also add your school name, club or organization name and/or what part of town you are from if you would like.
  • Please note: we will not be able to use signs with any last names or messages of any kind.

Return completed Welcome Signs to Hope by Sunday, May 3 and we’ll deliver them to the Ronald McDonald House.
